YouthVille Detroit offers young people opportunities to develop all areas of their life to create a well rounded - well balanced life with direction and purpose.

In addition to the many activities that are offered, a professional staff interacts with the members both individually and in group settings focused on building the developmental assets of youth.

Members also are given opportunities to hear from professional speakers on topics such as entrepreneurship, financial independence, career planning, personal safety, healthy living, and much, much more.

CAREER CORNER

Doctor, teacher, farmer, mechanic, electrician, beautician, banker, racecar driver, whatever your vision is for your future, a career coach will be on site to help you plan. YouthVille will be offering members the support and resources that they need to explore many careers from professional, technical, vocational to the skilled trades. Along with developing a career path members will also be given direction in how to apply for a job position, create their own resume and learn important interviewing skills.

PROJECT LIFE PLANS

All YouthVille Members will participate in this life skill development project. As part of their membership registration process youth have the opportunity to design a personal plan for their future. Through the guidance of trained staff, members will learn how to identify their life goals, set steps toward accomplishing those goals and create a plan for achieving their goals. Throughout the year the plan will be reviewed and revised providing youth with a powerful tool to making their dreams reality.
